SCHENECTADY, N.Y. -- Two people are recovering at Albany Medical Center after being shot on Steuben Street, in the Hamilton Hill area of Schenectady.

Police say they got a call just before 9 p.m. Thursday of shots being fired.

Police said Donna Perez, 32, was shot in her stomach and Talib Farmer, 18, had birdshot wounds on his face and legs. Police said they don't know of any links between the two victims. Both were taken to the hospital and are expected to live.

One person was questioned by police before being released.

The investigation continues.
