ALBANY, N.Y. -- Albany police arrested five people in connection with a large fight outside The Stone Crow bar on Yates Street early Wednesday morning.
Around 1:20 a.m., a patrol officer saw five men fighting in the middle of the street while a crowd on the sidewalk cheered them on.
Four of the men involved in the fight were arrested for second-degree riot - Bradley West, 27, of Albany, Joshua Goldstein, 26, of Albany, Travis Triplett, 22, of Watervliet, and Richard Jack, 19, of Schenectady. A fourth suspect ran off before officers could arrest him, but police said he has since been identified.
Also arrested was West's girlfriend, Gabrielle Schuster, 20, of Albany. Police said she was charged with second-degree obstruction of governmental administration because she was trying to pull West away from officers who were trying to handcuff him.
Police believe the fight stemmed from an incident inside the bar then spilled onto the street.
All five were released on their own recognizance.
