ALBANY, N.Y. -- We asked what additional precautions the Whitney Young Center is taking since three of its patients were arrested outside of its Methadone Clinic on Dewitt Street last week.
Police say those arrested were clinic patients at the time, possessing and/or selling to their own and ultimately to undercover investigators.
Whitney Young's CEO says several steps were taken with local authorities since the incident.
"Relative to last week's incident, certainly, several steps have been taken in several counts, I think it's an increased level of security here in terms of what they have to do keeping in mind that the incidents of last week really happened on a public street and so we can control, as a provider, but we also we also need local law enforcement to assist us and help us keep that activity to a minimum," Whitney Young Health Services President and CEO David Shippee said.
