WESTERLO, N.Y. -- A woman found the body of her dead nephew in the apartment he shared with his mother in Westerlo.

According to police, they are still trying to determine what caused 22-year-old Gabriel Philby-Zetzsche's death and how long his body has been in the apartment.

The Albany County Sheriff's office says the body has been there for at least three to four days.

Zetzsche's aunt is the one who actually contacted 911 when she found the body in the apartment.

"We secured the scene, filed for a search warrant. It appears that the body has been down for some time. So we just wanted to make sure our bases were covered," Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple said.

Apple says Philby-Zetzsche's mother, 52-year-old Tracey Zetzsche, is being uncooperative at this point.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine cause of death.
