ALBANY, N.Y. -- Fuller Road between the I-90 interchange and Washington Avenue is shut down as crews continue to work on the new flyover to carry Washington Avenue traffic over Fuller Road.

The road closed at 9 a.m. Friday and will open in time for the Monday commute at 7 a.m. Drivers are encouraged to find alternate routes to get through the area.

Crews have been working on Fuller Road over the past two years in phases. The first phase added a roundabout to Western Avenue. A new entrance to the Six Mile Waterworks and a roundabout at the I-90 ramp were added in the second phase. The project has cost $14 million.
