A bittersweet opening of a new development in Troy. Part of City Station, a residential building for RPI Students, had a ribbon cutting Thursday. It's a project led by The United Group of Companies that recently lost both the President and CEO in a plane crash. YNN's Lori Chung has more.

TROY, N.Y. -- Part of a new development will open Thursday, without of the men responsible for its existence.

The President and CEO of The United Group of Companies died earlier this month in a plane crash.

City Station is just one of several developments owned by the United Group, which was founded by Walter Uccellini. A residential building for RPI students in City Station has its ribbon cutting Thursday.

Uccellini was killed when the single engine plane he was riding in with pilot James Quinn went down in Vischer Ferry. Quinn, a vice chairman for the company, died of his injuries on Wednesday.
