ALBANY, N.Y. -- Back in July, Attorney General Eric Schneiderman announced 12 lawsuits against 16 "head shops" in New York State for illegally selling bath salts and other synthetic drugs.

Shining Star Enterprises on Lark Street was one of the shops targeted. The owner of the Lark Street store is due back in court next month.

Schneiderman says the store violated labeling laws, which requires product labels to describe what's inside it, as well as where it's made, packed, and distributed. The AG's office says bath salts are being sold with innocuous names and bright graphics to mislead the consumer and give the impression the product is harmless.

The lawsuits call for the stores to stop selling mislabeled drugs.
