CAPITAL REGION, N.Y. -- Some familiar faces in the Capital Region won re-election Tuesday night.
49th Senate District incumbent Hugh Farley won re-election. He beat out Madelyn Thorn, taking 59 percent of the vote and earning his 18th term in the State Senate. The 49th State Senate District is composed of the western half of Saratoga County, all of Fulton and Hamilton counties, as well as portions of Herkimer County and Schenectady County.
And in the new 112th Assembly District, James Tedisco beat out Michele Draves. Tedisco earned more than two-thirds of the vote. This will mark the 62-year-old's 16th two-year term in office.
