Three arrested on gang assault, robbery charges
SCHENECTADY COUNTY, N.Y. -- Glenville police arrest three people they say attacked and robbed a 19-year-old man.
Police say it happened back in July in a wooded area behind the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School's Administrative building on Cypress Drive in Glenville.
Police say Robert Nichols, Brody Gifford and Tony Deloatch surrounded the victim and hit him in the face with an empty vodka bottle, knocking him unconscious. The victim was also hit in the face with a two by four.
Police say Nichols, Gifford and Deloatch then stole the victims backpack and went through his pockets.
Deloatch, 20, was a star football player at Saratoga Springs.
The victim suffered a fractured jaw, loss of several teeth and received 25 stitches.
All three men were arrested and charged with gang assault, robbery and unlawful imprisonment. They are being held at Schenectady County Jail.
