ALBANY, N.Y. -- More than 100 Capital Region middle and elementary school students spent their Saturday at the College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. Students had a chance to learn about science, technology, engineering, and math, by conducting different experiments.
Event organizers said Nano Day events like the Discovery Program encourages children to learn in a fun way.
"The more they're able to touch things with their hands, and make things, that have applicability, they actually start understanding it might be important to understand science, and engineering, and math," noted Andre Melendez, College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering professor.
CNSE partnered up with the Trinity Alliance of the Capital Region for Saturday's event.
