ALBANY, N.Y. -- Schoharie Area Long Term recovery effort, or SALT, is getting some help from the community this weekend. Bomber's Burrito Bar in Albany hosted the second annual fundraising event.

It was a night of comedians, bingo, trivia, and raffles for those who attended. The fundraiser is part of a larger effort in which a bank has agreed to match dollar for dollar any money that is raised for the cause.

SALT has helped many in Schoharie County rebuild after Irene and Lee devastate the area last year, but organizers said the work is not done.

"Still a year later, we still have several hundred properties that are damaged by the flood, and we're trying to move homeowners in, and now is a good time to have an event like this as it's getting colder and we're really trying to winterize and get people in these homes before winter hits," said Josh DeBartolo, Schoharie Recovery Director.

Last year's event at Bombers raised $2,600. This year, organizers were hoping to reach $3,000.
