ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Washington Avenue Armory says it has reached an agreement with the City of Albany to continue to host concerts and other large events.

Albany officials issued a cease and desist order last month after a foam party at the venue got out of hand. More than 2,000 people showed up and began rushing the entrance when the doors opened. Several people were crushed against the barricades and three Albany police officers were injured when some in the crowd became aggressive. Seven people were arrested.

As a result, the Armory will be offering more security and will institute new ticket policies intended to make its concerts and other events safer.
