TROY, N.Y. -- Troy residents can once again celebrate Christmas Italian-style. The Christmas in Little Italy party will take place at the Hill Street Inn on Saturday.

For the second year in a row, the Joseph's House will help with cooking and decorating in an effort to raise awareness of hunger and homelessness in the city during the holiday season. The executive director says it makes the tenants feel like they are a part of the community.

"Our tenants are folks who used to homeless and were for many years and now are living in stable housing. This gives them a chance to be a part of the community and give back to the community. They love hosting this party and having the neighbors come in and see where they live," said Tracy Neitzel, Executive Director Joseph’s House.

Troy's Little Italy celebration takes place this Saturday at 6 p.m. in Liberty Square.
