SAND LAKE, N.Y. -- Heavy winds overnight caused quite a bit of clean up for folks in Sand Lake on Saturday.

Roads were closed because of fallen trees and traffic lights were dead.

Downed power lines left over a thousand residents without power, but not for lack of effort on the part of the electricity companies. Utility trucks were out in full force trying to get the lights back on.
