TROY, N.Y. -- A young man is in the hospital in critical condition after police say he was stabbed in Troy. It happened just after 6 p.m. at the Corliss Park Apartments.

The victim, whose name is not being released at this time, is being treated at St. Mary's Hospital for life threatening injuries.

Officers spent part of the evening executing a search warrant on the apartment the victim was found in, looking for clues.

Police say there was no sign of forced entry at the apartment and did not call it a home invasion, but say it appears more than one person entered the apartment. Even so, Troy Police say there's no reason for anyone in the neighborhood to be concerned.

"I believe it's an isolated incident. I don't think there's reason for concern for the other neighbors,” said Troy Police Department Captain Dan DeWolf. “As for a motive, we're really not sure. We're still in the beginning stages of our investigation, so there will be more to follow, I’m sure."

Detectives questioned several people, but so far, there have been no arrests.

The victim isn't being identified at this time. Police only tell us that he's in his late teens.
