ALBANY, N.Y. -- The woman hit by a car on Central Avenue Thursday night has died.

Police say Katherine Parker, 28, of Albany was trying to cross the street at King Avenue when she was hit. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition, and passed away on Friday.

The driver of the car, a 68-year-old woman, was not injured.

No tickets have been issued at this point, but are still investigating what led to the crash.
