LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. -- Three people were arrested on gang assault charges following a fight in Lake George.

Police were called to Canada Street early Sunday morning where they found a fight going on. According to police, a 27-year-old man was being repeatedly kicked and punched while on the ground.

After breaking up the fight, police arrested Brett Malcom, 21, of Lake George, Kevin Wild, 21, of Queensbury, and Tyler O’Brien, 20, of Clifton Park. All three have been charged with felony second degree gang assault.

Police say the fight started after the trio thought the victim stole beer from the bed of their pickup truck.

They're due back in court on Thursday and police say they expect to make more arrests in the case.
