SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. -- Two men have pleaded guilty in connection with a stabbing and beating at Club 388 in February.
Dwight Williams, 31, of Schenectady pleaded guilty to first-degree attempted assault, and James Steele, 34, pleaded guilty to second-degree attempted assault.
The Saratoga County District Attorney's Office said Williams stabbed the victim eight times in the legs and torso, and Steele punched the victim during the stabbing.
Williams is expected to be sentenced to five years in state prison, followed by five years post release supervision. He'll be sentenced on Dec. 22. Steele will be sentenced to three years in a state correctional facility. He will be sentenced on Jan. 11.
Police speculate that alcohol played a role in the incident, although the motive is not known. The victim has made a full recovery.
