ADAMS, Mass. -- A local truck driver is helping Sandy victims in a huge way. He's driving a 50-foot trailer filled with donations to the food banks in two New Jersey counties. There will be a food drive over the weekend to fill the trailer.

Parts of New York and New Jersey are still recovering after the storm damaged many homes.

“I spend a lot of time in NJ. I drive down every day. And, I see a lot of devastation. And, I said, well we should probably do something up here. So, I started making some phone calls, and everyone in Northern Berkshire County opened up their hearts and was bringing things down,” said Wayne Piaggi, owner of Piaggi Logistics.

You can drop off donations at the Adams Forest Wardens building in North Summer Street. Piaggi will make the trip down early next week.
