ALBANY, N.Y. -- Two Albany teens were indicted Friday for second-degree murder in the stabbing death of an Albany High School student last weekend.

The Albany County District Attorney's Office said Jah-Lah Vanderhorst, 16, and Dhoruba Shuaib, 19, will be arraigned Tuesday and face 25 years to life if convicted.

The indictment alleges that around 7 p.m. on April 30, Vanderhorst stabbed Tyler Rhodes, 17, at Hoffman Park, while Shauib blocked Rhodes from being able to get away.

The indictment comes as community members come together for a peace vigil in Rhodes' honor at the park where he was killed.
