ALBANY, N.Y. -- There is a traffic alert for those in the Capital Region. Beginning at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, road work will resume on the eastbound side of Washington Avenue in Albany, between Crossgates Mall and Fuller Road. The road will be closed so DOT crews can align eastbound traffic over the new flyover that was completed last month. Westbound traffic on Washington Avenue currently uses the flyover that brings cars over Fuller Road and directly behind UAlbany's NanoCollege. The road is expected to reopen for the morning commute on Monday at 7:00 a.m.
