ALBANY, N.Y. -- There's good news for drivers in Albany as Washington Avenue eastbound between Crossgates Mall and Fuller Road is back open to traffic. The road reopened at 7 a.m.
The road was closed so that DOT crews could align eastbound traffic on the new flyover that was completed last month. Westbound traffic on Washington uses the flyover that brings cars over Fuller Road and directly behind UAlbany's new nanocollege.
More than 30,000 cars pass through the intersection every day.
The project took more than two years to complete and cost more than $14 million.
