SULLIVAN COUNTY, N.Y. -- A Livingston Manor woman was arrested after the Sullivan County Sheriff's office says she left her three young children in a car while she went shopping.

The Sheriff's office says it happened around 2 p.m. Monday, when deputies on patrol spotted an eight-month-old, two-year-old and six-year-old alone in a car in the parking lot of the Peck's supermarket.

The deputies waited until the children's mother, Tiffany Banks, 26, returned from shopping and then arrested her.

Banks has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child. She is due back in court in January.
