NEWBURGH, N.Y. -- The man who barricaded himself in a Newburgh home when police tried to arrested him on an attempted murder charge is now in custody.
The situation started around 6 a.m. Wednesday when police tried to arrest Gosford Lembhard, the brother of Michael Lembhard, who was shot and killed during a confrontation with police back in March.
Gosford Lembhard retreated inside the Liberty Street home with several relatives, including a 10-year-old girl.
Lembhard is now in custody of US Marshal's Office and no one was hurt during the 10 hour ordeal.
Charges are pending.
