ALBANY, N.Y. -- Christmas came a little early for the few dozen kids staying at Saint Catherine's Marillac Family Shelter. Santa teamed up with the Albany Police Athletic League, or PAL, to bring some holiday cheer to some that may not have had a Christmas otherwise.
The children and their families at the shelter have been displaced this season because of domestic violence. The executive director of PAL says he feels honored to have had a chance to help some Capital Region kids.
“That's what you look for for Christmas, you look for the kids smiles, and to just know we had a part in that, it just makes the holidays,” said Lenny Ricchiuti, Albany PAL Exec. Director.
The group ended the night with a ride through Price Chopper's Capital Holiday Lights in the Park.
