PITTSFIELD, Mass. – A parrot stolen from a pet store in Pittsfield has been found unharmed. The parrot was located at an apartment, following a tip to police. Police say Charles Williamson, 52, stole the bird from a Petco store and tried to sell it. Williamson was arrested and charged with larceny and animal cruelty. He is also a registered sex offender.
Police say the woman whose apartment the parrot was found in didn’t know it was stolen and wasn’t charged.
