HUDSON VALLEY, N.Y. -- Newly elected Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney says he's excited about Governor Andrew Cuomo's agenda. He credits the governor with securing federal money for recovery in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
Now Maloney says one of his main priorities is getting that other $51 billion in federal aid to the storm damaged areas as soon as possible.
"And the fact of the matter is Congress is taking way too long what it should have done before. We took the first step last week, that's good, but we've gotta do the other $51 billion. It should have happened already and I'm absolutely committed to making that happen as fast as possible," Maloney said.
