A Greene County man admitted his role in the death of his girlfriend's mother.
Daniel Callahan, 37, pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of 66-year-old Martha Rooney.
Callahan said his girlfriend, Mary Quinn, called him in July and said she was having problems with her mother. He said he got into an argument with Rooney at her Cairo home, and strangled her with an extension cord.
Quinn pleaded guilty to manslaughter, and received a 10-year prison sentence.
Callahan could get 25 years when he is sentenced.
